Thirty Day Challenge Preseason

The Thirty Day Challenge Preseason is officially over but it can be still accessed in http://www.thirtydaychallenge.com/members/preseason/ if you are registered.  The purpose of the preseason training is to familiarize yourself with the tools that will be used in the challenge.  Videos and PDF transcripts were provided to explain the use of these tools and how to set them up.

Since I registered few days before the Thirty Day Challenge, I had to cram a bit.  Some of the videos were up to 40+ minutes long so I just got the transcripts and studied those because it’s more convinient and faster for me.

The tools listed in the Thirty Day Challenge are the following.  I’ve heard some of them before but haven’t tried them.  But for some, I didn’t know there are such sites prior to the Thirty Day Challenge.  :)
- Flock - I didn’t know this existed until TDC’s Ed Dale introduced this but this looks pretty cool.  It’s a social web browser and is like Firefox.
- Twitter - Microblogging service
- Twhirl - Stand alone program for Twitter.  To me it’s like a Yahoo Messenger or a MSN messenger software in your PC.
- Google Reader - I love this one.  This lets you efficiently read all the feeds you are subscribed in.
- Stumble Upon - It’s a site that helps you find other sites that you like.
- YouTube
- Google Subscribe
- Friend Feed - Site that allows you to share different RSS feeds to your friends so they can see your blog, pictures, articles in one place.

The Preseason page also has a cheat sheet so it is helpful if you have just joined.
